Fysiotherapie ter Horst en Veeze: change to more patient-centred
Fysiotherapie ter Horst en Veeze is a modern, innovative practice with 18 specialists. They offer more quality through cooperation of all disciplines. To this end, they work together with healthcare institutions in the region and the necessary multidisciplinary specialists. When the practice was taken over, a change was needed towards more patient-oriented and higher quality. Edith Paradijs asked Manuela Melis to help supervise this change.
Manuela:
“In several workshops we first mapped out the long term course and goals together with the team. We also pondered everyone’s personal qualities and how we could strengthen them. Then we mapped out the improvement actions and made agreements on how and who would take them up. We tackled this via scrum. In this way, I taught the team a new way of working together, in which cooperation between the specialists is promoted and the most important things are always picked up first. With a sustainable result: the practice is still making improvements with the help of scrum. And the team increases the quality independently and with great enthusiasm. This is reflected, among other things, in the increase in the number of new patients”.
Testimonial
Edith Paradijs: “It’s very nice to work with Manuela. Because, as an independent expert, she has a good and fast sense of what is going on. And because, without judgement, she is able to identify the strengths and weaknesses. The therapists are very enthusiastic about her and we would like to ask her back. This action was effective and we still use her method with great pleasure. Ideas are now really turned into actions by the team and don’t get stuck”.
